Mbalenhle Ndlovu

Mbalenhle Gugulethu Ndlovu is a freelance journalist based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She is passionate about women’s rights and her work focuses on documenting their lived experiences in the community. Her work has been featured on online platforms such as Her Zimbabwe. She has also worked for community radio initiatives: Radio Dialogue FM and Bulawayo Youth FM as a presenter and a gender programs producer. In 2013, Mbale took part in the Mobile Community Zimbabwe digital storytelling project, and is an active alumnus of that project. Her story on skin bleaching has to date hit more than 2k views on YouTube, and has also been published by the national newspaper, Newsday. Mbale has produced videos for NK Engineering and the Women in Politics Support Unit (WIPSU). Currently she is a presenter and producer at Bulawayo Youth Community radio station and also recently landed a post as sports producer for Skyz Metro FM. She has a Diploma in Journalism and Media Law studies, and is currently reading for a Media Law Bachelor’s degree.
