“Mzanga”, Friendships Across Borders

“When times are hard, friends are few”. Though a popular saying, the opposite is also true. Leonorah Ncube reports on a friendship built through difficult times. Residents of Victoria Falls get most of their basic commodities from Zambian vendors who have flooded the local market. The vendors have been nicknamed “Mzanga” a Nyanja word for friend, and have become favorites of the locals because they sell a variety of goods, door to door, at a very affordable price.
