Social Soccer in Zimbabwe

11/07/2013

It was the best performance ever. It was a passionate football atmosphere and perhaps it will be a treasured football victory cultivated by a spirited Eastern Scribes in a social soccer challenge match between the two sides. From the onset, The Eastern Scribes never loosened their grip on the game, bringing their opponents to their knees.

Such was a telepathic and extraordinary display by the journalists from the Eastern side of the nation who scored two goals in the first half courtesy of exciting Learnmore “Leonardo” Sithole’s goal that was well struck in the right corner.

Another goal getter Mapepa added his name on the score sheet when he capitalized on a defensive mix up to nod home at close range.

The goal of the day that will fit for the archives was a classic finisher by exhilarating midfielder Ndebele who did justice to a well calculated move from the left side involving stirring midfielder Ray “MaRhino” Bande who intelligently found magnificent striker Siziba who turned his marker in and out before setting up Ndebele who drove a powerful shot at goal living the opposite goalie in sixes and sevens.
