Bakidzanani Dube is the head of the production team of Getjenge FM. He is also the Information Technology Officer of Active Youth Zimbabwe.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Journalism and Media Studies from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
From August 2012 to August 2013 he worked for Radio Dialogue as an intern reporter. It was at this moment that Radio Dialogue linked him to Mobile Community Zimbabwe (MCZ).
He has so far been trained twice (phase 1 in Zambia, 2013 and phase 2 in Harare, 2015) by MCZ on how to use story maker.
His story maker hit video “Radio Dialogue takes License Struggle to the Streets” was rated the second best in 2013, subsequently winning him a prize. Because of his expertise in story maker, he was in December 2014 contracted by Plumtree Development Trust to train its 40 citizen journalists.
Due to such opportunities realised from the app, he wishes to use it in his journalism career.
