Mobile Community Zimbabwe has resumed the second round of trainings on mobile story telling after the successful completion of the first phase in 2013. Part of the focus this year is to mainstream the use of mobile reporting in newsrooms, media training institutions and a mixture of citizen journalists. A partnership with MCZ and a local newspaper will see stories produced under the current training trajectory being published on the Newsday website under their citizen journalism page AMH voices. The major aim is to create space for marginalised community stories that the mainstream media often treat as trivia.
The trainings started this november and will have seven trainees.
