| Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation Producer/Presenter, Theophilus Chuma scooped the Best Mobile Audio Report 2015 at an award ceremony hosted by Mobile Community Zimbabwe in partnership with Dutch news organisation, Free Press . His story on maternal health challenges shrugged off competition from seven other entries in the category to clinch top honours at the event held in Harare on Friday. Speaking after the event an ecstatic, Chuma thanked Mobile Community Zimbabwe for embarking on a training programme for media practitioners in the country on the use of mobile technology for news gathering which is fast becoming a global news packaging phenomenon being used by international news organisations. Other categories which were up for grabs include the Best Video Report won by Ketty Nyoni, a student from the Midlands State University (MSU), while the Most Encouraging Report for 2015 award was won by Theresa Takafuma, a freelance journalist based in Masvingo. |
